About Emma Lander

I’m a writer and illustrator with a deep love for storytelling in all its forms. My creative journey is rooted in a background in teaching young children, where I discovered just how powerful stories and images can be in shaping imagination.

Today, my greatest collaborator is my one-year-old son, who approaches life with wide eyes and sticky fingers (not to mention a snotty nose). Together, we build tiny worlds out of blankets and books, read the same stories until they feel like old friends, and we can read them without even looking at the words on the page! We can find magic tucked into the most ordinary moments. He reminds me daily how to laugh and play more freely and create without overthinking.

At the heart of everything I do is a desire to spark imagination, nurture connection, and celebrate the small moments that can make up big stories.
